This is another way to create fake file in windows xp. you can create file of any size you want.

1 : open cmd.

2 :  "c:\fsutil file createnew c:\myfile.xyz 102450000 "

By the above code u can create a file which name myfile.xyz xyz .

You can use any extension you want (on the place 'xyz') followed by file size(in byte).102450000 nearly 100MB.

behavior : Control file system behavior

dirty : Manage volume dirty bit

file : File specific commands

fsinfo : File system information

hardlink : Hardlink management

objectid : Object ID management

quota : Quota management

Following is very rare technique known by the people to create fake file of any size you want.  You can use this trick to impress your friends.

Step 1 :
Open Command Prompt (start-run-cmd)

Step 2 :
Go to the directory where you want to create fake file. Suppose here "D:\abc" folder. Your prompt will be like this "d:\abc"

Step 3 :
Type "debug filename.ext" at command prompt. Ex. We suppose creating file "fakefile.fkf", then it will show the error "File Not Found" with a hyphen on next line. Ignore this error and follow next step.

Step 4 :
Type RBX and press enter and put a 4 digit hex value (which is first 4 letter of the size of file) put 1111 for trial purpose.

Step 5:
Type RCX and press enter and put a 4 digit hex value (which is last 4 letter of the size of file) put 1111 for trial purpose.

Step 6:
Write 'w' to write the file and then at last 'q' to quit the debug mode.

You are Done. The File is ready without any contents.

How to Calculate Size of file

If you want to create 1.0 MB file then its size in bytes is 1,048,576 bytes, we have to convert this 1,048,576 bytes into a hex value. 

To convert :

Open Calculator from accessories in Scientific mode.
Click on Decimal radio button and then type the size i.e 1,048,576 then click on the Hex radio button, the result show in the calculators window is the number i.e Hex size we want to use. for 1,048,576 bytes we will get 100000.
So, the assign first 4 digits to RBX value and next 4 to the RCX value.

RBX=0010 (consider 0 if number is less than 8 digits)
RCX=0000

You may have used DOS's command line copy method but you might not have know that we can use Copy command to hide our files behind any picture or any other files. The following post will show you how to hide important files behind any picture or wallpaper.

We will need Win RAR  installed for following trick.

1. Create a RAR of files which you have to hide. ex. "my-files.rar".
2. Take a picture/wallpaper you want your files to be hidden behind. ex. "lady-gaga.jpeg"
3. Move both files(myfiles.rar and wallpaper) in a temporary folder; say "d:\temp".
4. Open command prompt and make your prompt to path "d:\temp>".
5. Then type following command Carefully;
6. "copy /b lady-gaga.jpeg + my-files.rar output.jpeg" without quotes, and press enter.
7. This command will make output.jpeg by combining both lady-gaga.jpeg and my-files.rar files.
8. If you double click on output file it will open the picture associated with it, i.e lady-gaga.jpeg here, and if you want to open your rar files just open the output files with win-rar application.
